About Us

Parents of Distinction (P.O.D.) stand behind every step the Blue and Gold Marching Machine takes

BGMM Parents of Distinction (P.O.D.) was formed by NC A&T band parents to provide the Blue and Gold Marching Machine with the support, resources, and funding it needs to thrive. We build a network of BGMM families across the Aggie community, rally behind the band’s events and activities, and raise dollars that flow back to the program through scholarships, donations, and direct support.

Meet the Board guiding BGMM Parents of Distinction

Our Board of Directors is made up of NC A&T parents who volunteer their time to provide leadership, set direction, and carry out the long-range plans, policies, and objectives of the Corporation. They preside at meetings, manage our committee structure, oversee our finances, and keep our growing membership informed.

From program planning and fundraising to scholarships, the work of the Board ties directly back to the band. Several seats on the Board are still open — if you’re a BGMM parent or alum who wants to step up, we’d love to hear from you.

Building momentum together

BGMM P.O.D. is just getting started, but our community is already showing up in big ways. Here’s a quick snapshot of where we are today — and every number on this page is a parent, a volunteer, or a dollar headed straight back to the band.
